i wish i could go back in time and stop myself from watching this movie because even after 2 years, i still can't stop myself from crying whenever i come across anything related to the greatest "Manchester by the sea"
After seeing this film for the very time a few days ago on 5 action, it now has become my all time favourite western. Visually stunning with deep rich characters. The scene with the waves crashing on the beach was absolutely breathtaking and the score magnificent. Thank you for saving this true masterpiece.
That reminds me of the time my grandad taught me to swim. He just picked me up and tossed me in. Course they had drained the pond and therez nothing but rocks left, but...
According to Karl Malden, Brando came over to visit him at his home and asked jokingly , is this the house that Jacks built? Evidently because the movie went way over schedule, they had to pay Malden a lot more money for staying on the film way over the time expected.
Any chance of seeing the whole scene? It goes on in the screenplay for longer before. I think it is a great shame it was cut in the first place, we see Lawrence again at his most vulnerable. It is a clear mirroring of the torture scene, only this time the adversary does not use physical but psychological force by appealing to his vanity. He is being used all over again. Without it, the change of mind Lawrence undergoes come far too quickly.
Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, etc. had a certain undefinable something that drew you to their movies. There are a few others, very few, who just don't pop into my head right now, who also had that special something!
One Eyed Jacks was a really good movie. It didn't get the respect it deserved. Marlon was great, young, handsome, and slim. I was totally entertained. I would watch a movie just to see Marlon. Missouri Breaks was another great Brando movie I loved, that didn't get what it deserved. Brando's performance made the movie. On top of that it had the great Jack Nicholson. What more could you want!
This menu is striking in that most new blu-rays only have a still image from the film. What's more is you'll notice that the characters aren't talking in their segment which says to me each of these clips was sought out and not just chosen at random. I love this menu.
Good film but not that good. Scorsese overrat this film. :) Definetley NOT best western. :) Leone westerns are best. And then Peckinpah, Hawks and Ford westerns.

Man, he had balls to do this. This song is HARD to sing.
A gifted actor. I am currently watching him in "'Ship Of Fools"(1965) where he gives a very good performance as the ship's doctor.
What is this from
Just the magic words i needee to describe Joe Bidens foriegn policy!

I thought that was someone down there to catch him...not!

Reminds me when my kids were that age. A true sense of ADVENTURE!
I still love him.
This is bs
I think the great revelation in this film is actually Pina Pellicer who in some ways overshadows Brando and gives the film its depth
“versa visa”

When you see hitler in the forest:
It's a pitty that just one minute.. when u are hungry for entire press conference 😅

So adorable!!!

When he spits in Karl‘s face during the arrest, it was total improvisation. You can see Karl’s real time reaction. Lol.
My boy’s wicked smart
HE SOUNDS SO MAGICAL

There would have been more yelling and explosions if Matt did this movie. Casey has more of an underdog little brother subdued acting style.
Wtf is this
I think it's sole purpose is confusing us and it worked
The romantic subplot was brilliantly acted by Brando and Pina Pellicer. Her pure love changed him overnight.
Myślę, że oboje zakochali się w sobie na planie tego pięknego filmu ❤❤❤
I believe she took her own life later because he wouldn’t commit to her in real life?
Damon would have been great as the brother.
I love PD so much i can't stand it. I love everything he does.
That may be the worst answer I’ve ever heard.
Oh, I've had those water. The red ones. The taste just isn't good.

This movie introduced to me Marlon and since then I have different views about him
This movie was not about acting nor actions.. It was about Marlon Brandon himself
